For Start Ups

I love entrepreneurship. It’s brave and exciting and very difficult to get right.

So it’s a thrill to work for new brands or start-up companies.

Get the words right from the start and you have powerful Intellectual Property smoothing the way forward.

Years ago, Nike got their words right from the off, channeling their brand character into funny, rebellious, compelling words that cut through on a tiny budget.

Words work.

The Brief

Filmore and Union was a healthy food destination that took the essence of hipster San Francisco cuisine and brought it over to Britain.

As a starting point for the words, I referenced the famous Tony Bennett song about San Francisco.

The Words

“Filmore & Union
We left our heart in San Francisco.
(But brought the food back here.)”
